Methodology

Learn to play piano or master your skills with in-home piano instruction. I work with beginner, intermediate, and advanced students ages 7+, including adults, using a comprehensive approach to piano instruction, which includes music theory, technique, and improvisation. I teach all styles of music including classical, jazz, blues, and popular. Lessons are available in your home on a weekly basis and are 40 minutes long.

I work closely with my students to develop the skills they need to succeed and see the results of their hard work. About Wendy

Formerly teaching at Hilton Piano, Triads Music Center, and North Country Piano & Guitar, I’ve been teaching piano in the Adirondack region for over 30 years. I began playing piano at the age of 7 and was classically-trained by professors at the Juilliard School of Music. I enjoy working with students of all levels, from beginner to advanced, who are enthusiastic about learning how to play piano.

 FAQs

  • Yes! Students have the option of taking lessons during the school year or year-round.

  • Lessons are $150 per month and include weekly lessons. Payment is due at the beginning of the month on the 1st.

  • I accept cash or check. I do not currently accept credit cards, Venmo, or PayPal.

  • We meet weekly and each lesson is 40-minutes long.

  • I ask that you try to cancel at least 24 hours in advance, if possible. Because the monthly rate is the same even when there are 5 weeks in a month (thereby giving you a free lesson for each month with 5 weeks in it), cancellations are not refunded.

  • Yes! I often work with students to help them train for performances at school, practice for competitions, and prepare for college auditions.
